EXTERNAL STORAGE UNITS - Dorchester Branch Only
We have 3 different sized secure storage container units depending upon your requirements.
All units offer you drive-up access 24/7 via our NPRC (Number Plate Recognition Camera) which opens the automated gates into our secure compound, where the containers are located.
Our containers are of the highest quality with 10 vents throughout and fully lined floor.
Each container has a padlock box which gives added security - you hold the only keys for your padlock.
ARCHIVE STORAGE
Archive storage means that there is a possibility that you can not only save money but also space that was previously useless can now be used for more productive purposes.
Manage your archive storage with our flexible business storage spaces. With storage space capacities ranging from 10 boxes to 500 archive boxes you can finally have all your documentation in one secure place.
USEFUL TIPS FOR STORAGE
Our Friendly team can give advice on how to make packing simple and reduce the amount of space you need.
1. Start by putting together all the necessary packing materials such as permanent markers, parcel tape and labels.
2. Use protective wrap on your delicate belongings to ensure no scratches, dents or breakages.
3. Each time you pack a box, label it clearly on a side that's easily visibly when the box is stacked.
4. Packing heavy items in smaller containers will help prevent injury while lifting.
5. Be sure to use sturdy boxes or other packaging as this means you will be able to stack your stuff easily and minimise the amount of space you need.
6. Drain freezers, washing machines and refrigerators two days before storage and store these items with the doors wedged open.
7. Boxes should be filled to capacity to prevent them being damaged or tipping, but when packing heavy items, weight may be an issue, so use smaller boxes rather than large ones.
8. We advise covering the ground in your storage room/MSU unit with a dust sheet to protect your things.
9. Using a wardrobe box will help your clothes retain their shape.
10. When all of your items are moved in, cover them with a dust sheet to keep them clean and protected.
11. Secure your storage room with a padlock, either purchase one from us or supply your own, as long as it is of sufficient quality.
